We ran through the show, and though the main character, played by Seth, wasn’t there, it was successful! I knew all of my lines, and I was able to be in the moment for most of the scenes! Again, I felt ‘empty’ but in a different way from yesterday. My mind was far quieter, but I was receiving enough impulses from my body and my partner’s reactions to keep me engaged in things outside of myself.

Marc confirmed my feelings when he said he had no notes for me and that “today was a really good day for me.”

I also had a shouting workshop with Marc. He taught me how to make the phlemy sound associated with yelling (without hurting my voice) and pointed toward how I could integrate that into my performance. The main motivation here is that I yell in the show and I need to do it in a way that’s healthy.
